Built in 1900, this building was once the convent of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. It served as a public school and boarding school for girls in grades 1-10 for 60 years.
Visit a traditional classroom, where you’ll admire a mannequin of a nun dressed in period attire. Stroll through the parlor, where the nuns and girls received their visitors. Discover the chapel, the Mother Superior’s small room, and community photos and artifacts. On the museum grounds are “My Uncle Armand’s Cabin” and the Goulet House.
