This private suite is situated at the edge of a small city along the banks of an oxbow on the Assiniboine River. The massive picture window in the living room frames a view of the private deck and river that seems to erase the walls of the space and transport the outside in.

Portage la Prairie is in the Central Plains Region of Manitoba, Canada. The community sits on the Assiniboine River, and is a 15-minute drive to Delta Marsh and Beach on Lake Manitoba. Portage is home to festivals, recreation opportunities, a golf course, sports tournaments, and museums including the Indian Residential School Museum of Canada.

Our vacation rental is located about 1 km outside of the city proper on a quiet rural cul-de-sac on the banks of an oxbow of the Assiniboine River. There is no through traffic and the street has access to a myriad of walking and biking trails.
